Twitter Launches Group Direct Messages and Native Video Sharing

by Ziuby

The social network announced on Tuesday the roll-out of two major new features: group direct messages and native video sharing and editing. Top execs at Twitter had teased the need for private group chats for months, likely motivated by the meteoric rise of messaging apps like #WhatsApp and Line in markets around the world

Starting today, everyone will soon be able to seamlessly capture, edit and share videos right from the Twitter app, too! Twitter has been really pushing hard to maintain it's position in the market. With updates like while you were away and most recent IOS specific updates the team at Twitter is putting out smart and innovative solutions.

This new update comes at a time when competitors like Facebook are emphasizing native videos on site. A growing list of social applications — including #Facebook, #Tumblr, Flipboard and others — are diving into the lucrative video advertising market. For more information watch video.
