Why did i take the Blue Pill ? SEO Strategy do it right once !

by Ziuby

It is pretty evident that SEO is extremely important to maintain a competitive edge in the market. There are several companies in the market boasting claims that they have gotten on the first page of Google  in matter of weeks with a strategy or that they have got awesome Google rank within a few weeks. The truth of the matter is we can't really check the authenticity of their claims. They might have implemented Black Hat strategies ! We cannot be sure !

So what is the best approach for SEO ? How to begin ? And why does the blog title talk about a Blue pill ?
Well the Blue pill is a reference to the movie Matrix where the character regrets one of  his decision for going with the a particular choice. He had different options but he choose wrong. Same goes with SEO !
It is extremely easy to go with the wrong decision or strategy when it comes to doing SEO. Our suggestion is simple. In conclusion the KISS principle applies perfectly to SEO activities ‘Keep It Simple Silly’. There are lot of people around making bold claims and quick solutions for SEO and frankly it doesn’t ring in any kind of confidence. A simple well thought out approach with a chalked out strategy can make a lot of difference . Th balance between efforts made for On-page and Off-page SEO will surely help out to get a good ranking.

Attracta ,a general review of SEO service provider

by Ziuby

Attracta is a SEO service provider. They provide free as well as paid services. Attracta is a Search Engine Optimization service offered to people who have access to cPanel with their websites.
It has quick, free, easy-to-use SEO tools as well as a few paid services that can be used to boost your search engine rankings.
It’s obvious that the free services are worth using but what about the paid services? Are they legal? Will they boost your search engine rankings enough to warrant the cost? Or are you better off learning SEO and saving your money?
 Services Offered :

1. Free Services :

Services related to Google:

1. Attracta will submit your website’s sitemap to the biggest search engines. This is useful since you don’t have to worry about submitting your xml-sitemap to each  search engine manually.

2. Another service is to check if you’re blacklisted by Google. As long as your website isn’t hosting anything illegal content or viruses, you don’t need to worry. Check your new listings: What this does is that it verifies that the sitemaps you submitted with Get in Google were received. Although there are few other free services offered, there is always a small catch where the paid service will always sound like a better option.

2. Paid Services :

1. Attracta will submit your sitemap to either 20 or 100 search engines, depending on how much you’re willing to pay.

2. Link Building: Similar to Attracta’s free service, this one will submit your link to 10, 20, or 50 websites.

3. To get Rankings: Attracta will write a blog entry for you with backlinks and submit it to five websites.

3. Monthly Services:

1. A team of trained writers create original content as per your website material.

2. We build mini authority websites that link to your own website using your keywords. This helps increase your website search engine rankings.

3. Backlinks from other websites are used by Google and help determine rankings in search engines.

4. Within 2-6 weeks you should start to see an increase in your rankings as well as traffic to your website.

5. Press Release: A team analyses and researches the website to make a custom press release about the business. It is finalised after customer approval and released to  different Authoritative websites and news websites. Google sees your site being linked to from hundreds of authoritative news sites and reputable blogs – giving you an instant boost of credibility and will surely help in the ranking.

3. Competitors to Attracta :

Following is a list of few alternatives or competitors of Attracta services providers. We can do some more research on these if required.

1. SEOMOZ
2. BRIGHTEDGE
3. CallidusCloud
4. WebCEO
5. Optify

4. Market Feedback :

1. Attracta is currently used by top hosting providers including HostGator, BlueHost, HostDime, UK2.Net, and HostPapa.
2. After going through several blogs and forum posts I found that feedback given by the users was of mixed feelings. Some found it to their liking while some were    critical about it. Unfortunately I cannot put all the posts here. Although following are some quotes from the news blogs:-
“We were looking for an easy-to-use solution to help our clients obtain more traffic to their websites, and Attracta was a perfect fit,” Brent Oxley, of HostGator, explained when asked why HostGator chose Attracta. “They have an easy integration into the cPanel API, and an automated, free setup that takes our clients step by step through the process,” Oxley added.
“Attracta has helped our clients increase traffic to their websites,” Oxley continued. “As a host, it has helped us extend the life of our clients, while also adding an additional revenue stream.”

5. Things to look out for before implementing :
Pros:1. XML Sitemaps are submitted directly to the major web search engines. You don’t have to do it manually.
2. Link building is supported by Attracta.
3. Wordpress is supported with a plug-in XML-sitemaps; changes made will be automatically uploaded.

   Cautions:
1. If Google webmaster directives are not followed possibility of getting penalized.
2. Paid services may not be completely worth it.
3. For Ranking Attracta uses Blog entries with backlinks and submit it different websites. This has risk factors.
4. It may be that they submit the exact same blog entry to all the websites. Google may detect this as a spam and penalise the website.
5. Attracta uses nofollow links to boost rankings. This may not be helpful because Google now ignores such nofollow links. Implementation of this may not help in the    results.
6. Submitting your xml-sitemap to multiple search engine providers, depending on how much you are willing to pay is a service offered. The question is does this help?  Google is a big player and has the majority of market share when it comes to search engine usage followed by Yahoo, Baidu, Bing etc. Thus only targeting Google first makes sense as by association one can rank better in on the search engines too.

It seem that one must do complete homework before partnering up with someone for SEO. One can never go wrong if they get the basics right, here are few basic guidelines for SEO .

"Qwant an Alternative Google"

by Ziuby

A company from a small office near the banks of the river Seine has put on gloves and will try to take on Google. The product is a French search engine called #Qwant. The French start-up, whose product was released 18 months ago, is tapping into growing anger here that Google has too much control over how Europeans surf the web.

“There’s a need for a choice,” Jean Manuel Rozan, a former financier who co-founded #Qwant in 2011, said recently over a cup of coffee. Europe is the only place in the world where people think that Google is the Internet. To stand out from the crowd, Qwant sold a 20 percent stake to Axel Springer, the German publisher, this year for roughly $6 million, mostly to buy European servers.

Along with other Google alternatives like #DuckDuckGo and #Ixquick, a Dutch search engine, Qwant says it does not track people’s online movements and sells advertising based only on individuals’ search queries.
Qwant also plans to release a child-friendly search engine — Qwant Junior — in early 2015.

If you have three million children who will search on Qwant, then there’ll be six million parents who will know about Qwant, said Éric Leandri, another of the start-up’s co-founders, who added that the start-up was in discussions with Axel Springer to become the default search engine on some of the publisher’s websites.

Despite previous failures to a build a credible European search engine, Qwant’s co-founders hope its focus on privacy and attempts to combine social media posts and traditional search results will set it apart from Google, whose projects are as diverse as a smartphone operating system and trying to develop driverless cars.

We want to give results from both the web and social networks,” said Mr. Rozan of Qwant. “If we’re just going to offer the same service as Google, we should stop now.
